Making Goals for 2026?

Goals are wonderful to make, but keeping them and succeeding is even better.

Message Content The image has a solid orange background with the phrase “Tuesday Tips!” written in large, bold, cream-colored letters centered in the middle. On each side of the text, there is a small, yellow, sparkling star symbol, adding a decorative element. The overall design is simple and bright, likely intended to attract attention to helpful advice or suggestions shared on a Tuesday.

Want to learn how it’s done?

Take a few small steps:

  1. Make a goal you know you can achieve.
  • Make a goal of writing once a week, and I’m sure you’ll get that done.
  • Make your next goal for writing twice a week, and now, you’re on a role.
  • Stick with two times a week for a while, and then see if you’d like to add a day and so on.
  1. Make your goal measurable.
  • I am going to write 1000 words per week.
    • If you’re writing twice weekly, you know that for both days your word count is going to need to be approximately 500 words.
    • If that’s doable for you, then I say go for it.
    • if not, shoot for your  own stars, not mine. my weekly goal is much higher.
  • I want to post once weekly.
    • Pick a day to post on social media.
    • Post on that day, and stick to it.
    • I’m not so good at this part, but the point is to try and succeed when you can, not to beat yourself up when you forget.
    • If you forget, leave that to yesterday, and keep moseying on to next week.
  1. Since we’ve made something we can measure, now, keep up with that measurement.
  • Remember your goal of writing twice a week with a word count of 1000 words per week.
  • Let’s do something wild and create a spread sheet or find a really great productivity app to keep that word count for you. either way, you’re measuring your progress.
